SONGS/POEM OF THE DAY WILL BE POSTED BY MONTH STARTING WITH JANUARY 2020
I found a new love. Writing lyrics started in 2018. I didn’t know where this new love – this passion would lead to. Then I wrote Letters from Federica, a compelling mystery and emotionally charged love story. Songs weave throughout the story illustrating the love shared between Federica and Leo, and the love shared between Leo and William.
Soon after writing Letters from Federica I wrote Book of Songs. Book of Songs is my second autobiography after Let Go and Let God…And Then What? Book of Songs is an account of my journey to becoming a lyricist. I initially thought to publish Book of Songs – but decided to blog instead – share this journey with all of you – read your thoughts – read your life journey.
Then during my morning mediation on 12 January 2020 I felt inspired to write a poem a day and post it on social media. Each morning up to January 24, 2020 I wrote one poem and posted the poem on social media – Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
I felt inspired to write in the moment, no editing or revisiting the poem of the day. Writing a poem in the moment brought me back to when I first started writing poetry in high school. First the inspiration from a memory, a thought, a sound, a word, listening to people talk, listening to music, or people watching.
Then 25 January 2020 I felt inspired to write lyrics to songs. The inspirational process was the same as writing a poem. In the moment. No editing. No revisiting.
The Book of Song – now in Blog – is the compilation of the poems and songs of the day starting 12 January 2020.
I will start the Blog with Let Go and Let Go…And Then What? Then journey into Letters from Federica to Book of Songs, and finally into the song/poem of the day.
SINCE THIS BLOG IS NEW – IN THE FIRST DAYS I’LL POST MANY BLOGS UNTIL I’M CAUGHT UP TO THE SONG/POEM OF THE DAY TO DATE.
I look forward to reading your stories and corresponding with you.

I am Animal Being

When I see lovers laughing and holding one another I turn away
I look to where I once was
But when I look to close I see what I left behind
It’s where I felt I didn’t belong
