27 APRIL 2020 BLOG 7 BOOK OF SONGS AUTHOR’S 2ND AUTOBIOGRAPHY

27 APRIL 2020 BLOG 7

One day after school, Mélina went directly to her room instead of sitting in the garden to play with her cats as she did every day after school. He opened his journal to the first page. The journal had been on her desk for weeks. The only words written were HONEY on the journal’s cover. He took his orange pen from the pencil case and wrote, at the top of the first page, Who Am I?

Mélina underlined the curious question. Suddenly the hand with which she was holding the pen scribbled words that composed sentences, and she wasn’t even sure if it was him writing them or not. She laughed out-loud and said What a silly question!”.

She read out-loud the scribble on the page. “Mélina Melody is my name. I’m 12 years old. It would take many lifetimes to explain to Mrs. Melody and my classmates Who I Am. To begin, I will start with a song.”

Say my name

Call me by my name,

He is me and I am her.

Together makes me,

Mélina is my name.

Can you see me?

I’m a soul in the crowd.

Can you see?

All you have to do is say my name,

Mélina.

I was born of a tree,

From bees and honey.

My heart is sweet,

It’s how I came to be.

Of not he or she,

Or this or that,

But a call from love.

I’m a soul in the crowd.

Say my name, say my name,

Mélina.

La la la la la.

Hmm, hmm, hmm.

Ooo la Ooo la.

I’m a soul Mélina.

My soul came here,

In this body just for me.

I like it so much so,

My dancing heart tells me so.

It’s a fun, fun life,

It’s all I know.

I’m one soul in the crowd.

Say name, say my name,

Mélina.
