Come To The Dance
Suzanne Mondoux · 22 November 2020
In time will shores of this world continue to see the sea Will the pair of birds fly above of our heads And will the sheep feed on the grass in the open field And at the end of the day will you come to the dance Will anybody come Will there be anybody left to come dance with me I’ve turned away and the muse of this world now alone Singing songs of heroes come and gone Foretold by every being that walked this earth Come to the dance just as you are No king and queen here Just you the people and animal beings of this world Every secret revealed in the waltz of life And you discover there is not time left And this life you live now drifting away You believed life for the human being would be forever You learned in that sweet moment that you’ve used up all your chances Come to the dance and lay your head on your partner Wrap your arms around a stranger Here love will live or die Come to the dance and hear the whispers of the crowd Languish in the anguish you created Feel the extreme deprivation so well choreographed Come to the dance in denial or vows of promise Acknowledge what’s been done State of poverty for all Come to the dance to end your days Together you waltz to your grave
