Once upon a time There lived a monk named Ustan He told stories of what was to come What was to go The world on fire And the world surrounded with flowers

He got everybody thinking of this and that He got everybody thinking me, myself and I He got everybody thinking of you, me and us He got everybody thinking of who are them

A short time passed before he continued his story Less and less of us were listening More and more of us were gone forever Fewer and fewer of them were them Then one day he got everybody thinking

Some listened Some talked Some turned the other way Then there were fewer and fewer of us listening More and more of use were them Fewer and fewer were us

Then one day he stopped telling his story Once upon a time had arrived This time he sang a song of their stories gone by And he got everybody thinking There was no more despair Everyone was gone There were no more us and them All life had gone Only souls drifted by singing along
