Falling Stars

Suzanne Mondoux · 20 February 2020

The right balance is struck and the stars are aligned The seas part and a path is made The Gods are waiting and the heavens open Falling stars sprinkle my soul

I open my hands to catch every star Falling stars all around me The children are gone and I buried my love I’m old and wrinkled amongst the stars

My life struck balance in the year of gold I catch falling stars now There’s no more time, I live only for every sunrise And I wait for the stars

Falling stars all around me I catch each one with my hands So small and yet so bright I look up at the heavens and the Gods wave goodnight

I bow my head and pray The night sky sings out loud with falling stars They call my name and sing to me to look up Light beams shoot through eternity

Falling stars all around me The fabric of my soul in my year of gold So soft the bright light it warms my heart I stand alone, for now, ‘til it’s time to join my love amongst the stars

Falling stars all around me A golden path amongst these stars
