On My Knees
Suzanne Mondoux · 17 February 2020
I’ve fallen to the ground looking up at the sky I’ve forsaken the ones I love believing it was for something better Leaving them behind meant leaving me behind I look to the heavens for a sign Clouds linger over my head
On my knees in front of me What shadow have I case on my soul I’m calling to all angels to help me I’m on my knees begging for forgiveness
I’m shipwrecked and stranded in a lonely place I’ve thrown away all that loved me It took but a moment to reject what had been given to me Now I’m a survivor of a shipwreck, my soul adrift On my knees at the crossword of my life
On my knees in front of me, before my soul Save me from myself before it’s too late Too many lies caused too many tears On my knees I beg your forgiveness
There is still life in me to save Please don’t throw me away I’ve made mistakes, I know the mistakes I’ve made On my knees before my soul Please don’t throw me away
On my knees before me I bow my head in peace in respect to me My soul raises me from my knees Before me I stand on my feet
On my knees in peace in respect of me
