Dreaming in my Dream

I lay my head down on my pillow Close my eyes to drift away into my dream I see myself dreaming in my dream Myself looks back at me A sea of dreams swirling all around

Dreaming in my dream Colours are bright I’m flying all around I dream of dreams

Flashes of light shine bright around so many faces Images and sensations excite me and frightened me Visions created in my imagination, they feel so real Reels of stories familiar and strange Or so close to and yet so far to what I’ve wanted all too much

Dreaming in my dream Occurring only in my mind Chain of images go round and round I dream of dreams

Strings of wonder my curiosity follows Real or not real I can never know Created in my imagination, isn’t that real Dreams are a kind of magic filled with awe Delight and glee in each dream

Dreaming in my dream Round and round I go until I jump I catch me, dreaming in my dream Time to wake to a taste of reality it seems

Dreaming in my dream I drift back into my imagination I fly and fly
